Needlestick Injuries 

Needlestick injury is a daily risk of working in the healthcare services. Even more devastating is the accidental infection and risk of occupationally acquired Hepatitis (which can lead to liver disease) or HIV (a precursor to AIDS).

Estimating the likelihood of transmission following a needle-stick injury is difficult as there are many factors which contribute to the risk. However, some reports have provided needlestick injury statistics.

On top of the trauma of the situation, Workcover entitlements often do not provide sufficient benefits. Hence the need for Needle-stick Insurance Cover.
